George has spent 8+ years in European venture, currently as a CFO of a German vertical software company (Thinksurance). Before this, George was as an investor at Columbia Lake Partners (a European structured debt fund investing into software businesses). As an Investment Director at Columbia Lake, George led new investments primarily in the DACH, Nordic and UK markets. Prior to Columbia Lake, George was an analyst at a US bank working with Silicon-Valley based software companies for 2 years. Over his venture career, George has worked with and financed US companies such as Viptela (acq. by Cisco), Wavefront (acq. by VMware), the Realreal (NASDAQ: REAL) and European companies such as ContentSquare, Falcon.io (acq. by Cision) and riskmethods (acq. by Sphera/Blackstone).

Thinksurance is a B2B vertical software company providing a distribution software platform to commercial insurance brokers and insurers in Germany to automate their processes, drive revenues and enable brokers to better serve their customers. Thinksurance has raised >€30 million in equity to date and is headquartered in Frankfurt with a team of around 90 employees today.
